What should i use for ponytail?

i'm a male and have afro hair but i never let my hair grow out really long. i havent cut my hair in a while tho and i think its time to put it into a ponytail but everybody tells me not to use rubber bands if not that then what should i use?

Rubber bands will tangle up in your hair and get stuck. Go to the drugstore and buy yourself some Goodys brand hair ties. They have these "ouchless" kind (thats what it says on it) and they are plain black ones, nothing girly. They are semi round looking and just plain black. About the same size as a rubber band minus the pulling and tangling in the hair. Hope that helps!

you should probably use hairbands like goody's no-slip grip hairbands.

by the way, really don't use regular rubber bands, they break off the hair.

Use a black scrunchie. You can buy them anywhere lol. Just use one that matches your hair colour so it won't look girly.
