What makeup would look best with a black dress?

I'm wearing a black dress. It's all black besides a small band of silver beads. I have blue eyes, moderatley tan skin, and light brown hair. What makeup would look best with this dress and my face!? The occasion is a Christmas tea, so the makeup should not be too flashy, and generally classy.

well, i think you should remain classy. try doing something dramatic with the eyes, and leaving the lips and blush to a minimum. for example, try beiges,browns, and maybe a sheer shimmery color over the eyes, and the lips a light sheer pink or nude. be sure to use dark brown or black eyeliner and mascara to make your blue eyes pop.

i would use a slightly shimmery natural coloured base and then a darker shade in your socket and under the eye. This way it still looks like natural shading but slightly more glamorous! blend a little bit of high lighter on your cheek bones and a nice lip gloss. If you concentrate more on your eyes then keep lips natural and vice versa! have fun xx

Definetly not to dark makeup. Try and use a light shadow with shimmer all over. Than use a eyeliner, just on top, completly besides the lashes. I would maybe use a dark grey with shimmer. And to top it off, use fake lashes, not over all, but(not sure what they are called in english) just a few strands on the edges, where your lashes are longest. If you want you kan use a liner on top of the old liner, maybe a silver or something. It should get you a classic and feminim look, but I would try it a couple of times before the big day.

For the rest of the face, I would keep it natural, just use a neutral foundation, a blush in peach or pink. A little highlighter on the cheekbones and a lipgloss in the colour you prefer.

(You could also go all natural on the eyes, just a light shadow, and use a red lipstick in the shade that suits you. It's always a classic.)

NATURAL. Neutrals on the eyes, line lips with natural line and a natural (darn near clear) lip gloss/stick. Whatever you do, no red lipstick and not too much of anything. Eye makeup needs to be natural or earthy tones (browns, beiges). Blush rosey but close to skin complexion. Make sure you mascara is visible and dark to bring out your eye color though. Ok well this is what advice I give: Definitly (not spelled right) wear dark and light colors! First of all do the whole smokey eyes type thing! When I do smokey eyes first I do the whole eyeliner thing! I first put on regular not liquid eyeliner then after doing that I put on liquid eyeliner over it. After that I do the mascara real thick. And last I put on a shimmery creamy grey/black eyeshadow! It looks really awesome and if you put some of the creamy grey/black eyeshadow underneath your bottom part of your eye it brings out your eyes a lot! Then what you do is you put some white or very light shadow in the crease of your eye showing everyone that you are a sophisticated grown woman! After that just add a little blush some glimmer to your face and and then add just a touch of pink shimmer lip gloss! Viola you are done and that gives you a sophisticated yet showy kind of look!
