Hear me out?

Ok I am going to go see my bf's band play in about a week @ a bar. I want to dress up and and give my look a bit of oomph. I never really dressed up before so yeah... I want to make an effort. Any ideas? I am 5'll and I have nothing to show as in clevage. I am skinny and I have brown straight hair. Help me please?

Hear me out?

Accentuate your height, slimness and hair...look in some fashion magazines for some ideas...keep it simple and add maybe one piece of fantastic jewelry or a long scarf. Try not to overuse any makeup. As for cleavage, wear something you are comfortable with and don't try to appear to have something you don't, it undermines your confidence. You sound like a nice person. Good luck!

Then shampoo your hair with conditioner that would give it more volumes. Since your tall try a short dress with jeans or any other type of pants you like underneath. Umm...About assecories, I say try a cute hairband. Hmm and makeup, just keep it natural color ( like the color of you skin kind of makeup are perfect)

Hear me out?

Wear a black spaghetti strap dress that is kind of short, but not too short so that it doesn't make you look taller than you already are (you're tall!) Wear black ballet flats or black flip flops and put on red lipstick. If you haven't really ever dressed up before wear your hair either down or in a half ponytail or clipped back. Use blush to make your cheeks rosy, put on lip gloss over your lipstick, and mascara. Get a black purse or cluth and you'll be great to go!

Hear me out?

Dress cooler (temp wise) than what you need outside. Dress lighter colors, bars are notoriously dark and gloomy inside usually. Don't be afraid to go heavy on the make-up---lighting is poor. Make up for less cleavage by wearing a swingy scarf or lacy top with a great necklace. Use your height to your advantage---you'll probably be able to look over the tops of most people's heads (at least in Seattle).

Have fun. Show him you really enjoy the music---Dance Dance Dance!!

Hear me out?

Advice from a guy (the opposite sex...)

Wear jeans and a t-shirt, a tight-fitting band t-shirt. Casual tennis shoes. Shampoo and condition your hair, but don't style it much. Wear light make-up. Maybe a slight bit of perfume.

The mix of the jeans and band t-shirt with a hint of feminine intrigue is very sexy. It would be kinda lame to go to a smokey bar and look all cutesy (especially since you already have a bf).
